Meet Kayla
Kayla brings more than 15 years hands-on, practical experience in both the private sector and working dog fields. With a deep passion for helping dogs and their owners build lasting relationships, Kayla specializes in puppy training and basic obedience as well as advanced obedience and behavior modification.
Her extensive background in working dogs includes specialized training in scent detection, tracking, and search and rescue, making her a versatile and highly skilled trainer. Whether working with pets or service dogs, Kayla’s approach is always rooted in clear communication, patience, and positive reinforcement.
Kayla’s training philosophy centers around assessing each dog’s unique needs and customizing training plans that align with the owner’s goals. Her broad experience allows her to tackle a variety of behavioral issues, from common challenges like leash pulling and excessive barking to more complex problems that require behavior modification.
In addition to her 15+ years of practical experience, Kayla is a graduate of the prestigious Canine Police Academy and Handler Course, where she received specialized training in law enforcement and handling working dogs. She maintains her expertise by completing annual re-certification through the prestigious Canine Police Academy.
Her fieldwork has included roles in explosive detection, narcotics detection, and patrol work, where she worked alongside first responders to aid in critical situations. Kayla’s unique combination of skills in both obedience and high-risk working dog environments sets her apart as an expert in the field. With a keen understanding of the bond between dogs and humans, she is dedicated to helping every dog reach its fullest potential, whether it’s in obedience, behavior, or specialized work.
